As the Lead Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the installation of submarine-cables offshore, while ensuring compliance with technical, safety, and environmental requirements.

Main responsibilities:

• Creation and technical evaluation of installation methods: Develop methods for vessel mobilization, cable loading, and cable installation in line with client requirements and best practices.
• Work plan development: Draft detailed plans for installation, health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols, and associated operational documentation.
• Technical analysis: Develop installation assumptions for cables and structures in collaboration with the engineering team.
• Site supervision: Manage designated subcontractors during offshore work, ensuring compliance with both our and the client's specifications and HSE requirements. You will also interface with client representatives and ensure the approval and completion of activities.
• Vessel and equipment selection: Define requirements for vessels and mobile equipment based on suitability, cost-effectiveness, resource availability, and compliance.
• Support to the bidding team: Assist in the request for proposal (RFP) process and early design phases (concept and basic design), offering your technical expertise.
• Verification and validation: Review and validate the design of installation routes and ensure they meet technical and operational requirements.

Profile required

• Education: Degree in Engineering (Bac+5) in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Offshore Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in managing technical projects in marine/subsea and/or offshore environments. Experience with cable and structure installation projects is a significant plus.
• Technical Skills:
• Project Management Skills: Ability to manage projects, including budget, schedule, and risk management, with proven experience in managing client and subcontractor interfaces.
• Languages: Good level of English (written and spoken) is essential for working in an international and multicultural environment.
