Your role

The deployment of the global product referential is a major challenge for ESSILORLUXOTTICA, leading to deep transformations (IT-System & Organization). The Group Lens Innovation Master Data Management department is a key player in this mission and we are looking for a Data Base Administrator.

This person is responsible to build the referential (Raw Materials & Consumable / Machine & Spare Parts) which is a key part of the full data management. Under the responsibility of the Referential manager, this person will have a functional responsibility over a WW team (France / US / Thailand), and will closely work with the Operations teams.

Main responsibilities:

• Structure, maintain and develop the reference base (Raw Materials & Consumable / Machines & Spare Parts): new data, updating, data deactivation, etc.
• In collaboration with the GLI experts, analyze the needs (new product project, industrial project, supply chain project, machine maintenance) and identify the necessary data (new/existing data) for the reference base
• Supply other MDM Administrators with all the data/elements allowing the construction/evolution of other MDM referentials/catalogs (BOM, Routings, etc.)
• Provide the data necessary for the Production, Procurement, Supply Chain and Finance.
• Ensure the quality of the data (expert validation, compliance with standards/norms, consistency, etc.)
• Dispense technical support to MDM teams and users (Laboratories / Factories).

This position requires a good knowledge of the Products/Processes and the Group's Offers (Glass, Frames, Cutting Assemblies, Machines, etc.). It requires strong interactions with various players.

Main requirements:

• Educational Background in Engineering, Business.
• First experience in a Procurement, Engineering & Manufacturing environment, working with Databases.
• Good knowledge of production processes and machines is a plus
• Good interpersonal skills; Intercultural interactions; Written/oral English is essential.
• Knowledge and master of IS tools (EBX, PLM, SAP)
• Autonomous & analytical person
• Customer-oriented and strong collaborative spirit
