Who You Are:
The Satellite Antenna Engineer will be responsible for various aspects related to antenna design, analysis, testing, simulations, and maintenance to support the development and deployment of satellite communication payloads for Eutelsat. The engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure the successful integration and performance of communication antennas across satellite projects.

Who You Are:
The Satellite Antenna Engineer will be responsible for various aspects related to antenna design, analysis, testing, simulations, and maintenance to support the development and deployment of satellite communication payloads for Eutelsat. The engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure the successful integration and performance of communication antennas across satellite projects.
What You'll Do:
- Conduct antenna coverage design and analyses to assist in the definition of future satellite payloads
- Monitor and assess the entire lifecycle of communication antennas, from specification to integration and testing, with a focus on active antenna systems
- Perform detailed analyses to assess the feasibility and effectiveness of active antenna technologies in meeting project requirements
- Represent Eutelsat at technical meetings and reviews at satellite equipment, subsystem and system level to ensure that Eutelsat's design, analysis and test requirements are being followed and that the antenna performances will enable Eutelsat's communication performance requirements to be met
- Perform on-site review of antenna test results, including those from launch site campaigns when required, to ensure real-time decision making on test result acceptability
- Ensure that other members of the Payload Engineering Section and the satellite project teams are kept informed as to progress and issues as and when they arise
- Prepare comprehensive reports detailing the outcomes of active antenna simulations, test results, and in-orbit acceptance tests
- Assist in the technical evaluation of proposals from satellite manufacturers, specifically with respect their antennas and coverage performances
- Maintain proficiency in active antenna design software and simulation tools, ensuring their effective utilization throughout the project lifecycle
- Maintain the antenna design and analysis software
- Stay updated on advancements in antenna design, simulation methodologies, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and improve satellite communication capabilities
What it Takes:
- University honours degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related field with a strong electromagnetics/antenna background
- At least 10 year experience in satellite antenna engineering or a Masters or higher degree with a specialisation in reflector antennas
- Experience in on-board digital processors, software-defined radio, active antennas, state-of-the-art ground technologies are advantages
- Experience in satellites procurement is a plus
- Experience in satellite constellation design is a plus
- Ability to work in a team
- Excellent knowledge of English
