Who we are

Click&Boat is the leading European boat rental platform. Our marketplace aims to make boating accessible around the world, and to provide private and professional boat owners with additional income from boat rentals.

Since our conception in 2013 we have grown substantially and we have acquired 3 companies in 3 different European countries (Spain, Germany, and France) these last 4 years. In 2022, our growth has been powered by an incoming major equity fund and the world's largest boating marketplace.

So far, we are opened for business in more than 50 countries and 600 destinations, and we are also a diverse team of 200 employees from 20 different countries.

Our headquarters are based in Paris on a barge moored on the Seine River, and we also have a second office of 100 people based in Barcelona.

Sounds good? We'd love for you to join us! With a rapidly growing company and a super work atmosphere; it's not a coincidence that we have been awarded the "Happy at Work!" badge.

How do we do it?

People joining Click&Boat are always delighted by our innovative working method. We have a set of cultural values that guide our approach to work, such as:
  • Product-Focused: Our focus is on delivering exceptional products that truly benefit our users.
  • Data-Driven: We prioritize data-driven decisions to ensure our products meet user needs.
  • Tech for Purpose: We believe technology is a means to solve real problems, not an end.
  • Empowered Squad: We value versatility and enforce a full-stack mindset, allowing you to expand your knowledge across both back-end and front-end technologies.
  • Boring architecture: we are always seeking the simplest solution for our complex challenges... and that is not simple! ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msnQbIQFsw4 if you want to know more)

The Engineering Team

Our engineering team is composed of 3 agile squads, each responsible for a logical functional scope. We build the infrastructure, interfaces, and applications to provide first-class service to our users (boat owners, customers renting boats, and Click&Boat internal teams).

By joining Click&Boat, you'll meet a team of talented, committed, and passionate engineers with a lot of product interactions. You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of projects quickly, whilst being mentored by talented senior engineers who have made significant contributions at renowned companies like Doctolib (VP of Engineering, Engineering Director & Principal Engineer) and ManoMano.

We move fast, with a lot of ownership, and are proud to tackle big problems! Being a developer at Click&Boat means more than just coding. Our developers are also responsible for preparing their features, collaborating with product managers and designers, breaking down features into tickets for squad organization, and monitoring and validating features once in production.

Our stack includes Angular 15+, PHP 8+, MySQL 8, Symfony 6.3, Docker, and Gitlab & CI/CD.
