Job Description:

Airbus R&T in the wing perimeter has focused a lot in the past years on the structural and industrial aspects, resulting in the Wing of Tomorrow concepts and ground prototypes.

eXtra performance WING, an Airbus UpNext demonstrator, is using disruptive wing technologies focusing on wing performance and need acceleration or feasibility demonstration. Our purpose is to fly a remote controlled business jet, flying subsonic, at classical Airbus aircraft altitudes, with a scaled wing heavily instrumented.

The opportunity of a Conops and procedures developer has risen within the team eXtra performance WING. It is based in Toulouse with potential travels to Cazaux where the working party and flight tests will take place.

The Conops and procedures developer position is within Airbus UpNext and it consists of a fixed-term contract (CDIC-C), starting ASAP, till June 2026.

Classification: G13

Mission

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Creating the concept of operations (Conops), synthesizing requirements and limitations from systems, flight physics, operations and Authorities. The Conops shall cover normal, abnormal and emergency situations.
  • Designing the normal, abnormal and emergency procedures
  • Conceiving the pre-and post-flight checklist
  • Supporting the definition of alerting and the light test setup

You are able to demonstrate the following skills and competencies:

  • At least 2 years of experience related to the operations of an aircraft
  • Capacity to synthetize, articulate and accommodate requirements from a wide range of stakeholders
  • Capacity to interact effectively with stakeholders with different backgrounds and vision of the A/C operations
  • Keen to take initiatives to propose simpler and efficient ways of working

The responsibilities and the technical scope of the job might evolve according to the agile working environment of the project, so being flexible is important.

You will work very closely cross-functionally with the Airbus Teams, as well as external stakeholders. You have great collaborative skills, with a good understanding of interface management and practical problem solving.
