Project Manager for ADO (Amadeus Data Office)Business Environment

Strategy, IT Services and Transversal Services, operates as a transversal organization built on four essential pillars:

1- Defining the Technological strategy for our CTO.

2- Offering our Technological Expertise beyond Amadeus.

3- Providing support to define and analyse end-to-end solutions.

4- And our largest activity, delivering Program & Project Management services within Amadeus.

Amadeus Data Office, aims to ensure the highest quality and compliant data assets to internal business lines, customers, and partners, to allow them to create meaningful additional value for Amadeus.

Its scope is the governance of the data assets exposed and exchanged between Amadeus, Customers, and Partners.

The ADO is sponsored by the Data Governance Advisory (DGA), where the business leadership team provides strategic oversight, endorse the ADO guidelines across the teams, and decision making on resolution of enterprise data issues.

Your Main Responsibilities

As ADO Project Manager you will be working with ADO central team, in the execution of the strategic projects and programs under the scope of the Amadeus Data Office North Star Project Portfolio

Common accountabilities:
  • Contribute to the definition and implementation of the ADO SAFe framework, required to deliver the projects under the scope of the ADO North Star, synchronizing with the Creation Platform Large Solution
  • Coordinate the activities of cross-functional teams involved in the projects led from the ADO Central Team, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with the overall data strategy
  • Support the ADO Central Team activity tracking (ADO fortnightly meetings, team backlog review, KPIs on data governance, ...)
  • Facilitate the creation of the required governance bodies in the R&D Community, and its coordination with the ADO
  • Collaborate with the Creation Platform team (PMM & Sales Enablement, Platform Adoption Partners & Ecosystem, Platform Product Management) to ensure data governance related dependencies are properly addressed.
  • Coordinate with the CPS teams on the delivery of the Amadeus Data Strategy (i.e., Open Data Architecture adoption)
  • Establish and enforce quality standards for data governance projects, ensuring deliverables meet specified requirements and adhere to best practices
  • Track project performance metrics and KPIs to measure progress against objectives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed

Specific accountabilities:
  • Manage the resources allocated to the projects effectively, to optimize efficiency and maximize results
  • Risk Management: Log and manage risks throughout the program life cycle minimizing impact on project.
  • Change Management: Manage the impact of project-related changes on stakeholders, guiding them through transitions and ensuring buy-in for new processes and/or technologies
  • Facilitate clear and consistent communication with stakeholders at all levels, providing updates on project status, milestones, and key decisions
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the project management function, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and optimize outcomes
  • Standard Tools Usage: Ensure consistent use of standard tools for planning, dashboarding and documents storage.

Important experience/skills:
  • Experience in managing and coordinating transversal projects, collaborating effectively with all entities (Engineering Community and BUs)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills,
  • Large network in the company (mainly R&D teams)
  • Technical knowledge and project delivery experience in data management and data governance domains (data lineage, metadata, MDM, data quality, ...)
  • Certifications PMP & SAFe is a plus
