Données / Big datad2m Services is recruiting on behalf of its customer a LEAD STRUCTURAL HULL ENGINEER to work on the Basic Design of a FPSO.
Job description :
Our client provides floating production solutions to the offshore energy industry. It owns and operates a large fleet of FPSO's which recently achieved more than 1 million barrels of oil per day.
In our engineering office located in Six Fours Les Plages, you will work on the Basic Design of the hull of an FPSO.
The Structural Lead Engineer is responsible of delivery of the hull structural design and calculations according to Class Rules and Client specifications. In this respect, you will be in charge of a team of about 10 structural engineers and will organise the workload and schedule of all associated activities. You will review the works and deliverables prepared by the team and ensure high level of technical quality and efficiency during the project execution. Your knowledge in hull structure will also ensure correct application of state of the art design principles and methodology. Your contribution will be key to achieve compliant and cost effective hull to the client satisfaction.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who have an MSc or BSc degree or equivalent (i.e. Professional Certification) in Offshore Structures / Naval Architecture with speciality in structural analysis of global and detailed hull structures. You have min 8 years of relevant working experience with the structural design.
Furthermore you have:
• Experience and technical knowledge of structural analysis of overall hull structures.
• Familiarity with classification society rules (i.e. ABS, DNV GL, BV and Lloyds).
• Experience of engineering and design of floating units in the oil and gas industry.
• Preferably you have knowledge of structural interfaces with related disciplines, i.e. integration of mooring structures, topsides and other equipment.
• Preferably you have experience with FEMAP finite element software and Class software.
