Airline business is going through a complete retailing transformation to address expectations customers are now used to in retail: workflow efficiency and control, price transparency, social networks interactions, personalization, etc...

In this context, Order Management System (OMS) is essential to deliver the true value of this transformation. And our group is in charge of building the Amadeus one.

About the role

We're looking for a data officer to bring maturity to the order business domain APIs and data model
  • Structure and lead Data model and API local governance for Nevio Order Management System
  • Represent order domain to external and global boards (amadeus and nevio levels)
  • Bring synergies with other domains in interaction with Order
  • Support local development teams and product management
  • Share knowledge and best practices in group with regards to APIs and data models

Common accountabilities:
  • Has the required technical/functional knowledge and experience in own discipline. Knowledge of the Amadeus business and how it is related to own area.
  • Works using existing procedures or guidelines and provides inputs to support/influence area decisions. Makes recommendations on new solutions and proposes improvements by analyzing different sources of information.
  • Works with a moderate level of guidance and direction from manager.

Specific accountabilities:

Analyse specifications
  • Define user requirements for the development of new (or upgrade of existing) data pipelines.
  • Work with data scientists, data analysts, quality analysts, developers, business analysts and our other stakeholders to develop, implement and perfect features.

Design data pipelines and code
  • Design technical solutions and perform feasibility studies.
  • Implement changes occasionally
  • Propose viable and scalable technical solutions to Product Management and/or users for validation.
  • Ensure data quality, security and governance (GDPR zones, data catalog)

Test and maintain the software
  • Conduct unit, package and performance tests and ensure a level of quality in line with the Amadeus guidelines.
  • Participate in the validation phase of the product cycle, fine-tuning when necessary to finalize the product.
  • Support the customer by debugging existing solutions in collaboration with Product Manager or Product Definition Analyst

Key group member when it comes to APIs and data model
  • Build group maturity around those topics with initiatives you would propose
  • Data representative for OrMS in any relevant board
  • Facilitate and iteratively improve local board activities

Document your work
  • Produce documentation necessary for the application / best practices / data and APIs themselves.

About the ideal candidate
  • Engineering degree or Master's degree in an analytical or related field, such as statistics, computer science, or mathematics,
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in DATA, preferably in a similar role
  • Experience in API design
  • Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams
  • Familiar with Agile methodologies,
  • Fluent English mandatory
