We are currently recruiting for an experienced Europen In-House Retail Architect to drive store design projects, based in our newly designed Paris headquarters. You will be joining an established and growing store design team, working cross functionally with the store construction and development departments. This role is a unique opportunity to support UNIQLO's expansion in Europe and bring our LifeWear philosophy to new customers, working closely with colleagues from Europe and Japan.

What you will be responsible for
- Managing store design work through all phases, from feasibility study to store management team's handover
- Establishing the budget with CAPEX and construction teams
- Studying and planning concept / schismatic layout to start project
- Working with store operations to define their requirements and develop suitable design-set including layout, facade, RCP... in respect of UNIQLO store design standards. Presenting, adapting proposal and securing approval from senior management and Global HQ
- Working together with construction and procurement teams to identify the quantity and quality of Owner-Furnished Equipment
- Sourcing and proposing cost effective materials in line with store concept
- Controlling the handover conditions agreed with Landlord together with store development team
- Identifying the scope of work for local architects and manage the RFP from candidates
- Managing all phases with local architect from schismatic design to drawing / permit package
- Supervising the construction to bring design solutions to site conflicts and ensure code requirements and UNIQLO quality control standards are met
Candidate's Profile
Experience
- Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or equivalent
- 5 - 7 years' experience in managing fashion store design projects ranging from standard stores to flagships (700sqm+)
- Experience working in English with multi-cultural stakeholders and senior level executives
- Experience in negotiating and managing local architects
Skills
- Fluent in Business English is must
- Expert level in AutoCAD, (vector works, Revit)
- Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- InDesign, sketch up and Adobe Creative Suite are an advantage
- Sketch communication 3D / execution / site discussion is required

- Ability to travel to multiple EU cities each week
- Ability to work in teams but also independently
- Ability to manage multiple projects at varying advancement stages simultaneously and deliver on time, in full and within budget despite aggressive schedules
- Solution oriented and creative problem solving
- Good understanding of UNIQLO brand visual identity and in-depth knowledge of latest global retail design concepts and trends
- Permanent right to work in France without needing visa sponsorship
