We hold strategic missions and a central role around Amadeus Test Systems.

Our mission on Amadeus Test Systems is to set and implement standards, as well as ensuring operations around the stability, performance and customer experience on Amadeus Test and Training systems. Developing software solutions for the operations and monitoring of the Amadeus Tests Systems is also part of our responsibilities.

This mission gets a special taste with the challenges and opportunities brought by the current migration of the entire Amadeus infrastructure to the Public Cloud, on Microsoft Azure - the Curiosity program, and the launch of the next generation of Amadeus products, our retailing platform - Nevio.

Our teams have a worldwide presence for close relationships with the local R&D products teams and Amadeus Customers.

Our team: Test Systems Evolution projects, Governance & Architecture

We are accountable for the consistency, improvement, and evolution of the Amadeus test systems. We ensure that those evolutions, which includes the move to the Public Cloud - 'Curiosity' and the implementation of the Amadeus retailing suite of products - 'Nevio', integrate all aspects and positively impact the quality of service, the cost to operate, enforcing security and defining governance.

The team manages transverse projects from business case to implementation. We drive the process governance, IT architecture and communication to enable a high level of service for internal users, operators, and customers.

Based in Nice, France, as technical project managers or architects, we work in close cooperation with a Bangalore counterpart, and in partnership with many stakeholders, such as customers, application/platform architects, Quality assurance and R&D, tooling teams, implementation specialists, product managers and incident managers.

Architect - Job Purpose

The Test Systems architect

• manages architecture projects, in collaboration with the team's other architects, in close collaboration with the team's project managers.

• drives and coordinates technical studies, transversal solution designs, proofs of concepts, changes to applications and processes, drives communication of changes to end users and follow up on architecture issues.

His/her missions are:

o Define the long-term vision for Test Systems: infrastructure, data and configuration, CI/CD, governance, stability, monitoring, tooling.

o Ensure compliancy with applicable regulations, including personal data (GDPR) and credit card (PCI/DSS) protection rules.

o Optimize resources and infrastructure, redefine test phases usage assignment (Production Data Recovery, Shift Left).

o Ensure that all aspects of evolutions are covered such as automation as code or costs.

These transversal projects have good visibility (Public Cloud Migration Program, Cloud Architecture Authority, Security Office, Amadeus critical applications including Nevio). Our architects interact with project managers, application managers, developers, other architects, QA managers, up to VP level.

Key accountabilities

• Responsible for system architecture, taking into consideration system constraints, enterprise architecture strategy and costs (FinOps)

• Direct and coordinate software architecture studies

• Provide knowledge on state-of-the art system architecture, taking future evolutions into account

• Articulate the design to impacted teams

• Contribute to the architect community, educate, recommend evolutions.

About our ideal candidate

• 7 years top level experience in IT
• University degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Experience in managing and coordinating transversal projects, collaborating effectively with all entities
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Highly autonomous and ability to juggle several topics and self organize
• Previous experience as an Architect is very welcome.
• Fluent in English
