Job Description

Title : Application Support Engineer m/f

Job Type: Permanent Contract

Location : Noisiel 77

Work Mode: Hybrid-3 days a week in the office

Job Description:

  • Ensuring the fulfillment of the SW service contract
  • Compliance with service-level agreements
  • External and internal reporting
  • Escalation management
  • Provider management (responsibility and support of service contracts with our service providers)
  • Special assignments (e.g., weekend work for new releases, etc.)
  • Implementation and collaboration in projects
  • Planning and implementation of new methods and systems to improve the quality of products and applications
  • Recording, analyzing, and eliminating process problems for customers
  • Support in the creation of customer and operational management documentation

Essential Knowledge:

  • Training in IT/technology or comparable professional training or professional experience
  • Experience in databases, system/network administration, or IT support
  • Good knowledge of VMware/ESX technologies
  • Knowledge of Microsoft and Linux operating systems
  • Good knowledge of various network technologies
  • Effectiveness in customer communication
  • Project planning experience

Desired Knowledge:

  • Experience with operational processes in an outsourcing or third-party environment
  • Knowledge of ITIL
  • SQL & Oracle knowledge
  • Support of microservices-based software systems
  • Kubernetes/DevOps

The Requirements Are:

  • Experienced application support professional (with 3+ years' experience in similar domain applications and production platforms)
  • Knowledge of Windows Server and SQL Server applications
  • Fluent in French (both oral and written), as the role involves contact with end-users in production
  • Good level of English for communication with international teams and customers
  • Curious and willing to learn
  • Knowledge or experience in app development
  • Ability to act as a backup for other team members during their leave
