The Opportunity:

Under limited supervision, responsible for conducting internal quality controls concerning particular areas or company products to insure they fulfill given quality procedures and norms. Monitor and record inconsistencies with quality procedures and norms. Prepare quality analyses and recommends necessary quality procedures changes. Record and analyze customer claims. Prepare reports on rejected or defective products..
Job duties and responsibilities:

• Undertake physical goods inspection of raw materials at point of receipt.
• Goods In Certification Administration and Management.
• In operation Quality Control, to include assessment of product and packing process to ensure consistency and conformity to associated SOPs.
• Sample checks of finished batches in line with SQL techniques.
• Batch form sign off/product release - ensuring alignment to GDocP.
• Sign off on Certificates of Conformity.
• Competency verification of training on Product Work Instructions/SOPs.
• Monitoring completeness and effectiveness of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA's) and documenting these on internal Quality system.
• Undertake Internal Audits of the Quality processes, predominantly at the Basingstoke site, but may include travel to other sites to support UK Quality team as required.
• Ensure Continual Improvements undertaken, including the review and update of local work instructions in association with the Production Manager.
• Participation in customer and certification audits and any associated requirements pre and post audits.
• Assist and participate with any Quality related training.
• Assist the UK Quality Team as required.

Qualifications:

• Good level of education, including GCSE English and Maths Grade C or above.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies
• At least 1-2 years experience of Quality Control, including record keeping and batch traceability
• Working knowledge and understanding/experience of a quality management system (ISO 9001, ISO 13485)
• Cleanroom operational knowledge is desirable but full training will be given
• Experience within a GMP environment desirable.
• Knowledge of an ERP system, specifically SAP is desirable, but full training will be given
• Understanding, or formal training of Six Sigma desirable
• High levels of attention to details essential
• Self motivated, demonstrating initiative and is result orientated.
• Strives for continual improvement, demonstrates innovation and organizational agility
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to prioritize workload and multi-task
• Positive, energetic, professional and passionate with a "can do" attitude

Environmental working conditions & Physical effort

This is a mixed role between an office and operational environment. It will require you to enter a warehouse environment and will involve some manual handling of boxes where you will be required to wear specific protective clothing.
This role will also involve you entering a cleanroom environment, where full protective clothing (PPE) will be provided. You will undertake a full training program of cleanroom operations and entry/exit protocols.
