Salesforce Marketing Cloud Platform Specialist
Summary of the Role

We are looking for a Salesforce Marketing Cloud professional to join our IT team as we embark on the implementation of Salesforce Marketing Cloud. This role will be essential in the migration from our existing marketing platform, supporting user training, adoption, and ongoing platform administration and governance. The successful candidate will have both functional knowledge in Marketing Cloud and technical skills to manage platform configurations, integrations, and automation.

In this role, you will have a chance to:

Implementation & Migration Support:
  • Support the transition from the current marketing platform to Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Collaborate with IT, marketing, and CRM teams to define requirements and ensure smooth data migration.
  • Facilitate integration with Salesforce CRM, Data Cloud, and other connected systems.

Marketing Cloud Administration & Governance:
  • Oversee user roles, permissions, and access controls in Marketing Cloud.
  • Configure and maintain Business Units, IP warming, Sender Authentication Package (SAP), and domain management.
  • Support compliance with data privacy regulations (General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)) and email deliverability best practices.
  • Monitor system performance, usage, and logs, proactively addressing issues.

User Training, Enablement & Support:
  • Create and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and documentation for marketing teams.
  • Develop best practice guides and FAQs to enhance user adoption.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting to marketing users.

Platform Optimization & Automation:
  • Configure Journeys, Automations, Email Studio, and Cloud Pages based on business needs.
  • Implement segmentation strategies, data extensions, and audience management.
  • Utilize SQL, AMPscript, and API configurations to support advanced use cases.
  • Work with stakeholders to improve processes and maximize platform efficiency.

Agile Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
  • Participate in agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
  • Work with cross-functional teams to align Marketing Cloud capabilities with business objectives.
  • Stay updated with Salesforce releases and recommend enhancements.

About Ideal Candidate:
  • Proven experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud administration, implementation, or consulting.
  • Background in marketing and business processes is a plus.
  • Understanding of Marketing Cloud Studios & Builders (Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, Content Builder).
  • Knowledge of SQL, AMPscript, APIs, and integrations with Salesforce CRM and Data Cloud is a plus.
  • Experience in training and upskilling users in Marketing Cloud or marketing automation platforms.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical & functional issues.
  • Experience working in agile environments and cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of marketing automation, personalization, and data-driven campaigns.
