The Sales Specialist will be tasked with executing our strategy for long term balanced growth through their understanding of market and competitive dynamics and driving Sales execution.

As part of our Continental European Sales Team, you will hunt for new prospects and opportunities with new and existing customers within Iberia. We are looking for hungry global commercial individuals based in Paris, looking to meet and exceed their targets with genuine effort. You will work in a very collaborative fashion with Account Managers, Solutions leaders, Customer Success managers, Sales Enablement colleagues and others at LSEG to uncover new opportunities. Ample training and coaching will be provided to learn our LSEG products, commercial policies, our CRM tools, and more. And you will work in a very supportive team that consistently operates in a united hybrid-working environment.

Role Summary

You will be positioning and presenting our desktop solution, Workspace, into the buy-side, including traditional asset managers, asset owners, sovereign wealth funds, hedge funds, family offices as well as wealth management firms. Workspace is a flexible, tailored solution that aggregates industry data, delivers proprietary analytics and automates critical research and portfolio management workflows. It has been built to harness the shifting trends in financial markets, as firms want to quickly adopt thoughtful artificial intelligence-driven tools and coding into their investment workflows.

As a subject matter authority, you will act in support of Account Managers as an Investment Management and Wealth Desktop Sales Specialist, focusing on all sales (new, cross-sells, up-sells) in Iberia within both existing and new customers.

What will you be doing
  • Take opportunities from identification to close, including the management of all contractual, legal and technical requirements.
  • Understand the value propositions, driven positioning and key selling points of the sub-propositions you are responsible for to sell.
  • Upbeat and proactive demeanour towards learning, pipeline generation and sales execution
  • Discuss and understand the client requirements, business priorities and strategy.
  • Demonstrate an approach which is aligned with Customers' short and long-term strategic aims.
  • Generate leads through engagement with key collaborators within Customers as well as awareness and attendance of industry events, seminars etc.
  • Developing direct high level customer relationships (especially C-level) with decision makers and influencers with Customers and 3rd parties.
  • Be able to demonstrate the services and position the strengths of our products.
  • Keep fully up to date with product developments and roadmaps.
  • Plan and prioritize sales efforts to ensure that potential future leads are followed up at the appropriate time.
  • Develop and run pipeline of recurring / outright opportunities and update information on items within our CRM tool, keeping orders and information flow up to date and accurate.
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the activities, propositions and threats posed by our competitors in this space.
  • Work closely with the business divisions to provide important customer feedback and engagement opportunities.
  • Provide regular, relevant and structured feedback on all activity and customer issues to the Sales Director

Who are we looking for:
  • Fluent French speaker with Sales Experience from within the financial markets
  • Excellent knowledge of the financial markets, market trends, and ESG/Sustainable Finance data is a plus!
  • Proven track record to identify and develop relevant key customer relationships
  • Excellent consultative sales skills and shown techniques for negotiating complex agreements
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to perform in a highly-visibility and pressured environment to win high-impact change programs with multiple touch points within the customer environment
  • Demonstrate collaborative leadership style within the matrix hierarchy of LSEG as well as demonstrable thought leadership with external clients
  • Team player and excellent communicator
  • Proven sales track record
  • Determination, tenacity, self-motivation and willingness to put in the extra effort to succeed
  • Knowledge of the broader market and how LSEG serves it
