We're Hiring: Senior Software Engineer (C++ / TypeScript)

What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining the software that powers our DNA On Demand platform-from instrument control to the web console.

Your mission:

• Develop and maintain instrument control software (C++) and our web-based application (TypeScript, React, NestJS).
• Shape UX/UI workflows based on real-world user feedback.
• Participate in software architecture discussions and code reviews.
• Work with the QA team on software testing-both on instruments and in simulation.
• Support field engineers with debugging and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with scientists, engineers, and product managers to define features and validate requirements.
• Contribute to documentation and help with software deployment and DevOps activities.
• Own your projects, meet deadlines, and deliver quality software.

What we're looking for

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
• 3-6 years of professional experience.
• Strong expertise in object-oriented programming, especially C++.
• Solid experience with TypeScript and web development.
• Proven skills in test development, simulation, and test automation.
• Good understanding of software design and architecture principles.
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with a diverse team.

Nice to have:

• Experience in biotech, instrumentation, or embedded systems.
• Familiarity with React, NestJS, or similar modern frameworks.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments, Python, MQTT, Protocol Buffers.
• Comfortable using Git and modern CI/CD tools.
• Interest or experience in mentoring interns, contractors, or junior developers.
