Location: Paris, FranceDepartment Description: The CTO2 Allianz Partners Europe Target Platform Area operates within an agile product organization and is composed of eight Tribes: four dedicated to the Insurance Line of Business, three to the Assistance Line of Business, and one Enablement Tribe that provides essential tools and technologies. This area oversees the complete delivery lifecycle of Allianz Partner's target solutions, ensuring successful global rollouts, robust channel support, and high-quality eCommerce services.

By leveraging agile methodologies, the area fosters collaboration, flexibility, and continuous improvement, with strategic goals centered on innovation, quality, customer focus, efficiency, and scalability. As a dynamic and integral part of Allianz Partners, the CTO2 Allianz Partners Europe Target Platform Area is committed to enhancing customer experiences and supporting the organization's mission to deliver exceptional value and support on a global scale.

Overall Objectives of Job: As the Chapter Area Lead for the SAMBA (Solution Architects, Agile Masters, Business Analysts) chapter area within Allianz Partners ACM Target Platform Europe, you will occupy a pivotal executive role in shaping a high-performing delivery organization. You will leverage your extensive experience in IT delivery management, software development life cycle, and people management to build strong teams and ensure high-quality, timely delivery. Close collaboration with Line of Business leads, who define demands, budget, and product vision, is essential for ensuring capacity and quality. Your role also involves yearly capacity planning and ensuring work tracking and reporting align with Line of Business requirements for end-to-end delivery and run. Additionally, you will work closely with Chapter Leads to ensure alignment on team development, skill enhancement, and adherence to best practices, fostering a cohesive and collaborative environment.

Qualification & Experience:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven track record and extensive experience as an IT Delivery Manager in an executive capacity.
  • Strong experience in building and leading high-performing teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of the software development life cycle.
  • Excellent people management skills.
  • Experience in strategic planning and capacity management.
  • Strong understanding of agile principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Chapter Area Vision & Goals:
    • Define and communicate the Chapter Area Vision and yearly goals.
    • Develop the Chapter purpose in alignment with organizational objectives.
    • Act as change agent and promote the agile values, principles and way of working.
    • Drives the improvement of the Chapter Area through adequate measures and forster psychological safety and well-being.
  • Strategic Support:
    • Support Tribes and organizational leadership in decision-making and results monitoring through strategic vision and expertise.
  • Technical & Personal Development:
    • Lead the technical, methodical, and personal development of Chapters according to strategic priorities.
    • Monitor Chapter performance and ensure continuous improvement.
    • Support the transition and evolution among professions within the Chapter by developing guidelines, best practices, and required capabilities.
    • Ensure the application of appropriate standards and enterprise policies within the organization.
  • Performance & Career Development:
    • Develop and evaluate Chapter Lead performance, focusing on both technical and management skills.
    • Define and set compensation for Chapter Leads.
    • Responsible for overall career direction, including career track changes and capability-building tracks.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Perform vendor management activities and manage strategic partnerships with external vendors based on expected demands from Areas and Tribes.
  • Budget Management:
    • Responsible for people budget for further development measures and personnel costs.

Administrative & Compliance Requirements:
  • Ensure compliance with all internal and external regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all processes and decisions.
  • Adhere to Allianz Technology's policies and procedures.
