Overall Objectives of Job: An Area Technical Lead is the Product Area Co-Lead from Allianz Technology side when the Area Lead comes from the Business OE which is responsible for the successful delivery and operating of technology and services in time, quality, and budget in their Area. Works closely with the Area Architect to support the Tribe Technical Leads with prioritizing on Area level. Area Technical Leads are E2E accountable for the products of Allianz Technology ensuring the functional as well as the technological evolvement of his products. The Area Technical Leads are in charge of defining and implementing the strategic vision in all aspects of the digital products including also nonfunctional scope like security, future technology etc. The Area Technical Leads are managing actively the relationship with Allianz Partner OM and Business Organization

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven track record and extensive experience as an IT Delivery Manager in an executive capacity.
• Strong experience in building and leading high-performing teams.
• In-depth knowledge of the software development life cycle.
• Excellent people management skills.
• Experience in strategic planning and capacity management.
• Strong understanding of agile principles and practices.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• • Responsible for the Area's strategy and objectives from the perspective of Allianz Technology.
  • Challenges and supports the Tribe Leads to translate these objectives into key results (OKRs³) and helps prioritizing technical topics for the Tribes.
  • Responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives and helps remove impediments in their Area.
  • Leads, coaches, and enables Technical and Chapter Area Leads to excel in the value dimensions customer, business, and people.
  • Responsible for internal and external stakeholder management on top management level.
  • Manage and maintain the relationship with Allianz Partners Business and Organizational Management on various Management Levels. Act as trusted advisor for Allianz Partners.
  • Defines annual goals for the Area to work toward
  • Supports Chapters' development plans and objectives and monitors performance in the people evaluation process.
  • Leads the technical, methodical, and personal development of the Chapters according to strategic priorities, OKRs, and business value.
  • Conducts negotiations with sponsors and stakeholders on financing and budget development.
  • Responsible for the people budget for further development measures and personnel costs.
  • Provides expertise and ensures the application of appropriate standards and enterprise policies within the organization.
  • Acts as a change agent and promotes the agile values, principles, and way of working.
  • Drives the improvement of the Chapter Area through adequate and personnel costs.

Administrative & Compliance Requirements:

• Ensure compliance with all internal and external regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all processes and decisions.
• Adhere to Allianz Technology's policies and procedures.
