Job Summary
In keeping with the DevOps culture, and in close collaboration with the technical teams, an OpenShift Administrator M/F is responsible for managing and securing the lifecycle and availability of OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) clusters within an organization.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Plan, install, configure the OpenShift platform in cloud or on-premises environments;
- Manage lifecycle activities;
- Implement backup and restore processes to protect cluster data and configuration;
- Ensure high availability of the OpenShift environment by configuring multi-zone or multi-region clusters and implementing redundancy;
- Monitor and optimize cluster and application performance through resource scaling, load balancing, and effective scheduling;
- Implement disaster recovery solutions and ensure rapid recovery in the event of a failure and document processes;
- Enforce security policies and best practices, such as role-based access control (RBAC), network policies, and secure container image management;
- Regularly update the platform to mitigate vulnerabilities and ensure security;
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) configurations using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Helm.
Essential Skills
• 3-5 years of proven experience as a Red Hat Certified Specialist in Administration
• OpenShift and/or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA);
• Proficient in Linux/Unix system administration, including shell scripting and networking;
• Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR) and practices of' relevant audits;
• Knowledge of container security best practices, RBAC, network security policies, and container image vulnerability management;
• Linux certification (e.g., RHCSA or LPIC) would be a plus
