Missions
- You will be part of the Executive Committee and will work closely with the CEO, the senior management team and the board of directors. As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will play a pivotal role in driving our AI and data strategy while providing visionary leadership to our technical teams. You will lead the development and implementation of innovative AI-driven solutions, oversee product design and engineering, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality, regulatory-compliant medical devices. You will directly supervise the engineering, product, data science and innovation teams, ensuring alignment and collaboration across all technical functions.
- Develop and drive the company's overall technology strategy in alignment with business objectives.
- Identify emerging technologies and trends relevant to the medical device industry and explore opportunities for innovation.
- Foster a culture of continuous innovation and encourage the exploration of new ideas and approaches.
- Serve as the key advocate for technological excellence both within the organization and in external engagements.
- Define and execute the company's AI and data strategy, leveraging advanced analytics and machine learning to enhance the performance and capabilities of our medical devices.
- Identify opportunities to integrate AI-driven features into existing products and explore new applications of AI technology in healthcare.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of AI and data solutions across the product lifecycle.
- Lead the research and development (R&D) team in designing and developing AIdriven medical device solutions, from concept to commercialization.
- Drive innovation by exploring new algorithms, models, and data sources to improve product performance and functionality.
- Champion a data-driven approach to product development, incorporating user feedback and real-world data to continuously iterate and improve our products.
- Oversee the development and execution of R&D projects, ensuring alignment with product roadmap and regulatory requirements.
- Champion a rigorous approach to product development, including design controls, risk management, and validation processes.
- Provide technical leadership in product design, engineering, and architecture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Clinical, Regulatory Affairs, and Quality Assurance, Operations to translate customer needs into innovative product designs.
- Ensure that product designs meet performance, reliability, and usability requirements while adhering to regulatory standards.
- Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and standards applicable to medical device development and ensure compliance throughout the product life cycle.
- Work closely with the regulatory affairs team to prepare and submit regulatory filings, including 510(k) submissions, CE marking, and other regulatory approvals.
- Directly supervise the engineering, product, data science and innovation teams, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to team leads and members.
- Foster collaboration and alignment across all technical functions, ensuring clear communication and coordination of efforts.
- Set clear goals and expectations for each team and hold them accountable for delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
- Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages creativity, teamwork, and accountability.

Profile
- Advanced degree (Ph.D., M.Sc., or equivalent) in computer science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or a related field.
- Proven track record of leadership in AI and data-driven technology development, preferably in the healthcare industry.
- Experience in leading end-to-end development and market launch of multiple AI-based products.
- Completely fluent in English and French.
- At least 10 years experience in research and development, product design, and engineering, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate multidisciplinary teams of at least 50 collaborators.
- Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and lead cross-functional teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a results-oriented mindset.
- Commitment to quality, compliance, and patient safety.
