Position Description

We are currently looking for somebody to join our Strategic Lab consultancy team, for a limited period as a maternity leave coverage (fix term 12 -16 months).
This role can be based in France, Italy or Spain.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide technical application support to customers of existing QIAGEN MDx product lines, such as dPCR platforms and others.
• Advise our customers with targeted and sustainable solutions for the optimization of laboratory processes in the field of molecular diagnostic testing or QC testing in Pharma labs.
• Project planning, implementation, analysis and evaluation using/utilizing lean methods and tools.
• Support Verification and Validation service projects using technical expertise to guide the customer in direction of accreditation (ISO15189).
• Organize and conduct customer and employee training courses.
• Collaborate and maintain effective communication with Marketing and Product Management and with further different functional areas of QIAGEN to generate specific strategies to ensure adequate and successful customer service.

Position Requirements

• Master or PhD in the natural sciences (focus on molecular biology, genomics or relevant discipline).
• Solid experiences with molecular biology technologies; qPCR, dPCR and NGS with troubleshooting abilities.
• Several years of practical experience with molecular biological disciplines, application and automation processes, in particular in molecular diagnostics, ideally also in a customer service-oriented environment.
• Experiences in working in a regulated environment in healthcare, pharmaceutical or medical devices/IVD sector and/or pharma.
• Knowledge of quality standards and accreditation models especially IVDR, MDR, ISO15189, ISO13485, if possible also FDA, is also an advantage.
• Experience of writing and reviewing verification and validation protocols.
• Professional experience in lean management / process optimization or comparable qualifications is a plus (Lean Green belt Six Sigma).
• Very good spoken and written English skills. Additional European language, written and spoken, is needed (French, Italian or Spanish).
• Excellent communication, presentation and sales skills at all business levels, as well as MS Office skills.
• Enjoy moderating workshops and coaching employees/customers in change processes.
• Willingness to travel (25-30%) in EMEA.
